Slot Features

Played on an 8 by 8 grid, Mahjong 88 is pretty conventional and has a Chinese flair. Bets start at 0.10 to 100 per spin. Matching symbols are shown in a cluster on the grid to make winning combinations. The grid has four flowers and four wilds (winter, autumn, summer, and spring) in addition to tiles from the bams and dots suit. The lotus blossom tile offers the highest payouts, 500 times your stake is awarded for 12 or more.

Vertically or horizontally next to the same symbol, clusters can develop. You can keep winning from each spin because if you get a winning combination, the contributing symbols are removed and then replaced by new symbols.

Additionally, there are hidden blank tiles that rotate to expose a hidden nearby sign. Every successful combination raises the Fortune Frog metre. With 33 winning symbols, the Fortune Frog feature's metre can be fully charged. One of the following effects will be activated if no victories are formed:

• Croak: Instead of paying in adjacent locations, one symbol set is chosen to pay scatter-style.
• Spawn: 1 symbol set from the spawn is picked to be transferred to another symbol.
• Two: margins of the tongue are selected using symbols before changing to another symbol.
• Hope: One sign is picked, and it changes and eliminates nearby symbols.

The Super Charge feature is activated when you overcharge the Fortune Frog metre with 88 or more winning symbols. Here, there is a 5x multiplier applied to all winning combos. Only one charge can be applied to either the Fortune Frog or Super Charge features per spin.

The four seasons in Mahjong 88 are spring, summer, autumn, and winter. When you don't get a winning combination, a wild is randomly triggered for each season. Wilds replace other symbols as usual and are eliminated when the Fortune Frog feature or a portion of a win is activated.
