Its low-paying symbols are five black and white stairs, a tombstone, a cup, a cube, and a cross, while its high-paying symbols are a spirit with a green head, a pig, a clown, and a zombie. A 5-of-a-kind gain pays between 0.1 and 1.5 times the wager, while a 14-or-more cluster pays between 12.8 and 120 times the wager. 

Landing the Moon Man scatter symbol activates Full Moon mode and 2 to 5 symbol multipliers that appear on top of the grid, with each multiplier linked to a high-paying symbol. The range of possible multiplier values is from 2 to 100. While active, multipliers apply to all respective symbol victories. When there are no more victories on the grid, symbol multipliers are eliminated from left to right. Each time a multiplier is removed, all instances of the removed symbol, as well as low-pay symbols, are eliminated from the reels, triggering a drop. When all multipliers have been eliminated in this manner, Full Moon mode concludes.

Three or four free spin scatter symbols in the base game activate 10 or 15 free spins, respectively, in Alone in the Dark. During this round, the probability of landing Moon Man symbols is greater than in the basic game. Each free spin symbol that lands awards +4 free plays.

After all free spins have been utilised, the bonus round transitions into Darkness Spins mode. Every time you enter or reset this mode, you receive +2 additional turns. Prior to each Darkness Spin, the grid is reduced to 4x4 and then 2x2. When the Full Moon is activated in this mode, the grid is reset to 6x6. In addition, retriggering Darkness Spins resets the grid to 6x6 for the remainder of the current spin and returns the player to conventional free spins. The feature concludes when Darkness Spins mode terminates without a free spin retrigger or Full Moon.
