Boom Time is a 5-reel, 1,125-way slot. Counting consecutive reels with matching symbols from the leftmost reel determines wins. A winning combination requires three matching symbols. All bankrolls can play since the betting range is 0.10–50 per spin. 

The game's three robbers appear as symbols and award players multipliers from 0.5x to 5x, while gold coins and cash awards multipliers from 0.2x to 0.5x. Lower-ranked A, K, Q, J, and 10 symbols add 0.1x to 0.4x.

Wild symbols replace other paying symbols on reels 2, 3, 4, 5, and both horizontal reels during the main game and free spins. In addition, there is a scatter symbol that can grant the player 10, 15, or 20 extra turns at no cost.

The main game and free spins feature sticky wild symbols on reels 2, 3, 4, 5, and both horizontal reels. Sticky wilds replace all paying symbols.
